EV needs your support. We are collecting signatures of registered Brooklyn voters to bring to the community board to demonstrate community support of the project and help us legitimize our 1st Street berthing location. Signatures need to be the old fashioned pen-and-ink variety. Here's how you can help:
1. Copy the following statement into a blank document:
"The Empty Vessel Project is providing a positive impact to the local community. I support government funding for the project. I support using government fuding to create public berthing space on the Gowanus Canal."
2. (optional) Add anything else positive you can say about the EVP.
3. Print the document.
4. Sign it with YOUR PRINTED NAME, SIGNATURE AND ADDRESS. INCLUDE ZIP CODE. (We will not use your information for any purpose. This is what the government needs for your signature to count.)
5. Get as many of your friends and coworkers as you can to sign it also. Make sure they include their PRINTED NAME, SIGNATURE AND ADDRESS.
6. Mail the paper to us at:

program highlights the DIY, collaborative spirit that this city has grown famous for, featuring an ecclectic selection of work ranging from Cat Solen’s music video for Bright Eyes to Vladimir’s handmade viewmaster movies; from Vanessa Renwick’s collaboration with Portland musician Tara Jane O’Neil to Shawna
Ferreira’s psychedelic video creations. Stumptown Girls promises to be a night chock full of surprises,
inspiration, and good old northwestern spunk!"

The Empty Vessel Project is an action, art, and sustainability experiment. We salvaged EV, a WWII rescue boat, to create a space for re-imagining the post-industrial urban environment. We are a non-profit, volunteer-run organization and encourage participation on all levels.
EV is moored on Brooklyn's Gowanus Canal. The boat is our first project. We invite you to come join us on board to work and play.
We host work parties, movie nights, seminars, concerts, dinners, and workshops. The Empty Vessel is available to realize your dreams and schemes.
This newsletter is your guide. It appears in your in box each week, listing events and tracking changes. Can it be better? Contact
